Alphabet Monster Game February 02 2015

Check out this fun way to help teach your little ones the alphabet. :)

1. Convert one of your old wipes containers into a monster by adding on a front, mouth piece with teeth and sticking on two googly eyes to the inside lid.

2. Label old milk bottle lids or a similar plastic round items with the letters of the alphabet.

3. Tell your little one the monster is hungry and needs to be fed some letter biscuits. Say a letter as well as the sound the letter makes and help your child to find the right letter to feed the monster with. If your child points to the incorrect letter, tell them why it is incorrect and make the sound that letter makes to show the difference. Teaching kids the sounds letters make is so important as it is the first step in learning to read so don't miss this important part out. :)

Extra Learning Tips:

*You could do both lowercase and uppercase letters to make it more challenging for pre schoolers.

*You could label the pieces with numbers instead of letters

*You could label the pieces with simple first words
